Red and white fireworks will light up the sky over Edmonton’s river valley on Canada Day. The fireworks show will take place at 11 p.m. from Kinsmen Park with the best viewing locations at the Alberta legislature grounds, Queen Elizabeth Park, River Valley Road trail, and Const. Ezio Faraone Park, by the west entrance to the High-Level Bridge on 109 Street North.

Other Canada Day celebrations in Edmonton

There are a number of events to enjoy throughout Edmonton during Canada Day. Nearly all city spray parks, outdoor pools, golf courses, and recreation centres will be open on Canada Day.

The Edmonton Valley Zoo will mark 65 years of conservation with music, magic, and other all-ages activities running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be events hosted at the Muttart Conservatory, the John Janzen Nature Centre, Alberta legislature, and Re/Max Field.

Also taking place on July 1 is the Mill Woods Canada Day Celebration. The free and inclusive event taking place at Mill Woods Park at 2730 66 St. from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. will feature multicultural performances, dance, music, fun and fireworks. The fireworks display starts at 11 p.m.
